Samsung launched the Galaxy M55 5G in India today. The phone has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, large FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and 5000mAh battery. We got to check out the smartphone, here are our first impressions.

The M55 5G has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright even in outdoors since it has up to 1000 nits peak brightness. The phone has HDR support and has Dragontrail glass for protection.
The Galaxy M55 5G is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. It has support for several 5G bands.
The phone runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1 on top. Samsung has promised 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates for the phone. It also has NFC and Knox security.
Inside the tiny punch-hole there is a 50-megapixel camera with 4K video recording. The earpiece grill is on the top edge that also doubles up as a secondary speaker. There is a small chin below the display.
Coming to the button placements, the power button and the volume rockers are present on the right side. The hybrid SIM slot is present on the left. The primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top. The phone has a plastic frame with a matte finish.
The M55 has triple rear cameras without the camera bar that matches other Samsung phones. It has a 50MP main camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. Both the front and rear cameras support up to 4K 30 fps recording. Check out some camera samples below.
Compared to the glass back in the A55, the M55 has a plastic back with a matte finish that doesn’t attract fingerprints. The phone also comes in Denim Black colour. Even though it has a large, 5000mAh battery, the phone weighs 180 grams. It has support for 45W fast charging for the first time.
