nubia has launched its new flagship foldable smartphone, the nubia Flip 5G, following the announcement at MWC 2024 earlier this year.
It’s got a cool design inspired by vinyl records and stays slim at just 7.0mm thick when unfolded, thanks to smart engineering like Waterdrop Hinges and strong steel material.
The phone features a 6.9-inch 120Hz flexible FHD+ AMOLED display with 2790 x 1188 resolution, giving sharp images with 443 PPI. It also supports 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut and 10bit Color Depth, plus it has 2160Hz PWM Dimming and useful modes like Dark Mode and Night Light.
nubia claims that the Durable Hinge and Flexible Screen have been tested for over 200,000 folds. There’s a handy 1.43″ OLED external display for quick tasks and notifications. It even comes with cute 3D virtual pets for fun interactions.
For photography lovers, it packs a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth camera, along with a 16MP front camera for selfies. It offers various modes like hovering shots and retro-style shooting.
Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1 5G processor, with options for 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The 4310mAh battery supports 33W quick charging, giving 50% charge in just 18 minutes.
It also features side-mounted fingerprint unlock, dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra processing, and Snapdragon sound technology. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2, and more. It runs on MyOS 13 based on Android 13.
