moto g64 5G with 6.5″ FHD+ 120Hz display, Dimensity 7025, up to 12GB RAM, 6000mAh battery launching in India on April 16

After teasers, motorola has confirmed the launch of g64 5G, successor to last year’s g54 5G in India on April 16th.

The g64 5G will retain the 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen, 50MP rear camera with OIS, along with a 8MP ultra-wide camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 6000mAh battery with support for 33W turbocharging. It has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC for the first time. This is an overclocked version of the 7020 which powered the g54 5G. This will come with support for 14 5G bands.

The phone will come in 12GB / 8GB RAM options with up to 12GB RAM expansion and 128GB and 256GB storage options, It will run Android 14 with an assured update to Android 15, and will get 3 years of security updates. It will come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and feature IP52 ratings for dust and splash resistance.

The image reveals a familiar PMMA back, and the company says that it will weigh 192g and be 8.89mm thick, again similar to the g54.

The moto g64 5G will be sold on Flipkart, motorola.in and offline stores after the launch. The g54 5G was launched at Rs. 15,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs. 18,999 for 12GB + 256GB models. We can expect the g64 to be priced in the similar range.
