realme launched the P1 5G, a phone in the new P series in India, today along with the P1 Pro 5G. This shares a similar AMOLED screen, Dimensity 7050 SoC, and 5000mAh battery, but has a different camera and rear finish.

The realme P1 5G has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED centre punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The sunlight legibility is good as well, thanks to 600 nits typical brightness, 1200 nits in high brightness mode and 2000 nits peak brightness. The phone has 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. This also has HDR support. The screen has Dragon Trail Glass protection.
It has the punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel camera. The earpiece is present on the top that acts as a stereo speaker.
The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner, and you can see a small bezel below the screen.
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC with 5G SA/NA support, it has up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 8GB of additional RAM expansion. There is up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone has 4356.52mm² stainless steel vapor chamber, 10231 mm² high-performance graphite heat dissipation, and a 7-layer heat dissipation architecture.
Coming to the button placements and ports, the power button is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. The hybrid dual SIM slot is present on the bottom along with the primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill. The secondary microphone is on the top, along with the speaker vent and a 3.5mm audio jack. Audio from the stereo speaker is good without distortion.
The phone has a 50-megapixel main camera and secondary 2MP portrait camera. It has 4K 30fps recording for the rear and 1080p video recording for the front, and doesn’t have OIS. Check out the camera samples below.
Coming to the design, the phone has a Circular 3D LDI Texture Design and features Micro-Crystal Sparrow Feather Texture. The phone has IP54 ratings for dust and splash resistance. The phone has a smooth matte finish that doesn’t attract fingerprints.
The Peacock Green colour that we have has a vibrant micro-gradient printing in fresh green, complemented by the unique sparrow feather structure, reflects a colorful luster under light. It also comes in Phoenix Red Color. It has a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
The realme P1 5G starts at Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB version and will be available from realme.com, Flipkart and realme retail starting from April 22nd. There is an early bird sale later today with launch offers that brings the price down to Rs. 14,999.
