AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series: Advanced Mobile Processors
The AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series marks a significant advancement in x86 processors tailored for business laptops and mobile workstations to deliver exceptional performance, particularly in handling demanding business and AI workloads.
With up to eight high-performance cores, advanced 4nm technology, and “Zen 4” architecture, they offer up to 30% greater performance for intensive mobile workstation applications.
Select models feature AMD Ryzen AI, coupled with powerful AMD RDNA 3 graphics, resulting in up to 72% faster performance and 84% less power consumption for tasks such as video conferencing compared to Intel Core Ultra 7 165U processors. Additionally, these processors integrate WiFi-7 technology for connectivity.
Leading this series is the AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 8945HS processor, featuring eight cores, 16 threads, 24MB of cache, and Radeon 780M graphics, making it ideal for resource-intensive applications like 3D rendering and multimedia content creation.
AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 Series: First AI-Enabled Desktop Processors
For desktop users, the AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 Series introduces the first AI-enabled desktop processors for business professionals. Featuring up to eight high-performance “Zen 4” cores on a 4nm process, to offer unparalleled speed and efficiency in daily business operations.
PCs equipped with Ryzen PRO 8000 Series processors support DDR5 and PCIe 4 for lightning-fast data transfer and next-gen connectivity with Wi-Fi 7 available on select models.
Leading this series is the AMD Ryzen 8700G processor, delivering eight high-performance cores, 16 threads, 24MB of cache, and integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics, ensuring superior performance across various workloads.
Enhanced Security and Manageability with AMD PRO Technologies
AMD PRO technologies provide enterprise-grade manageability features, enabling IT managers to deploy and manage AMD-powered laptops up to 41% faster than competitors’ laptops.
These technologies also offer robust security features embedded directly onto the hardware, operating system, and system level, including the Microsoft Pluton security processor integrated into AMD Ryzen PRO processors.
Expanding AI Capabilities with Ryzen AI
Ryzen AI empowers business users with AI-driven experiences, enabling tasks such as document creation, email summarization, and coding assistance.

OEM Partnerships and Availability

Availability of the Ryzen PRO 8040 Series mobile processors and Ryzen PRO 8000 Series desktop processors is expected from Q2, 2024, through OEM partners and select channel partners.
