Lava is entering into a new category of smart wearables under the brand name Prowatch by Lava. The company has started teasing its first smartwatch, which will be launched on 23rd April 2024.
Lava cites the latest CMR survey report, which highlighted a concerning trend in the smart wearables market, with 72% of users expressing dissatisfaction. This dissatisfaction is attributed to poor quality chipsets and materials being used. The brand assures to address this issue by bringing good quality products at affordable prices.
The brand also aims to focus on offering smartwatches with accurate readings of health metrics, along with robust data protection measures, to provide a superior user experience.
The company’s first Prowatch will feature a circular dial design with a rotating crown and a button. Adding importance to quality, the company is promoting the usage of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the watch. There should be both silicone and leather strap options for users to choose from.
We can expect features like an AMOLED screen, multiple sports modes, Bluetooth calling, heart rate, and SpO2 tracking, as seen with other smartwatches.
Lava also created a separate X and Instagram page called ProZone to promote (ProZone_In) its smart accessories category.
The landing page of the Prowatch by Lava is live on Amazon.in, and we should get more information on the product this coming Tuesday at noon.
