Qualcomm Technologies has expanded the Snapdragon X Series platform with the introduction of Snapdragon X Plus.

The Snapdragon X Plus boasts the innovative Qualcomm Oryon CPU, providing up to 37% faster CPU performance and up to 54% less power consumption compared to competitors. It is built on 4nm process node and technology.
It’s also equipped to handle AI-driven applications, featuring the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU capable of 45 TOPS, making it the fastest NPU for laptops. This allows for powerful on-device AI applications, promising significant advancements in computing.
To showcase the capabilities of Snapdragon X Plus, Qualcomm Technologies demonstrated new AI-optimized applications and features:
- Visual Studio Code now offers Codegen for instant code generation using on-device AI.
- Audacity’s Riffusion AI enables music creation from prompts or existing tracks.
- OBS Studio’s Whisper AI provides real-time live captions in 100 languages during livestreams.
Snapdragon X Plus provides game-changing performance and efficiency with its 10-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU and Adreno GPU, ensuring smooth multitasking and graphics-intensive tasks with long battery life.

Availability
PCs powered by Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite are expected to launch from mid-2024 onwards, and we can expect OEMs to introduce devices at the Computex 2024 in early June.
