Sonos Ace wireless headphones with ANC, Dolby Atmos, Dolby head tracking announced

Sonos just introduced its first-ever headphones, Sonos Ace. These headphones are designed to be comfortable with lightweight materials and soft memory foam covered in vegan leather.

The Sonos Ace headphones, easy to wear and store, feature intuitive controls and a fold-flat design for convenience, while also being durable and sustainable with replaceable ear cushions and materials that cut plastic usage by 17%. Additionally, the travel case is crafted from 75% recycled plastic bottles.

The headphones are also energy-efficient, with wear detection that pauses music when you take them off to save battery. On the audio front, Sonos Ace boasts custom 40mm dynamic audio drivers in each ear cup, coupled with eight microphones for active noise cancellation and an Aware mode for ambient sound.

It supports Bluetooth 5.4 and aptX codec for high-quality wireless playback, with a 3.5mm to USB-C cable for lossless wired audio. For immersive audio experiences, Sonos Ace supports Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality spatial audio via various streaming services.

Notably, it offers Dolby Head Tracking for dynamic surround sound and seamless audio switching between the Ace and Sonos Arc soundbar. Sonos Ace promises up to 30 hours of battery life, with fast charging delivering 3 hours of playback in just 3 minutes.

Later this year, Sonos plans to unveil TrueCinema technology for an even more immersive surround sound experience.
