POCO introduced its latest smartphone, the POCO F6 5G, in India today. Alongside, the company also revealed a ‘Pro’ version of the device for the global markets.
The POCO F6 Pro boasts a sleek design with slim bezels, a metal frame, and a quad-curved glass back with a soft velvet touch. Its 6.67-inch WQHD+ Flow AMOLED DotDisplay offers a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The display reaches peak brightness levels of up to 4000 nits, supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and 12-bit 68.7 billion colors and boasts TÜV certification. Additionally, it features an in-screen fingerprint sensor that doubles as a heart rate monitor.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To manage heat efficiently, the phone incorporates LiquidCool Technology 4.0 with an IceLoop System, ensuring sustained performance., and has 5000mm² large cooling area.
It also features WildBoost Optimization 3.0 for enhanced performance. The device offers various AI-driven experiences, including AI Expansion, Album, Subtitles, Magic Erase Pro, and AI portrait features.
In terms of photography, the POCO F6 Pro sports a 50MP main camera (1/1.55″) with Light Fusion 800 image sensor technology and optical image stabilization (OIS). Accompanying this are an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there’s a 16MP camera equipped with RAW domain algorithms to capture detailed selfies.
Powering the device is a sizable 5000mAh battery with support for 120W HyperCharge, claiming a full charge in just 19 minutes. The phone also includes POCO Surge P2 charging chipset and Surge G1 battery chipset for optimized charging and battery management.
Additional features include a dual-wing antenna design for better signal reception, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, Hi-Res audio (including wireless), an X-axis linear vibration motor, and AI Face Unlock. Connectivity options include Dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, IR Blaster, and GNSS positioning. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS.
