Truecaller today announced that it has crossed 400 Million monthly active users globally. This comes after the company announced that it crossed 300 million daily active users in September last year.
Launched 14 years ago, the app crossed the 10 million monthly active user mark in 2013, 100 Million users in 2017, 200 million active users in 2019 and 300 million in 2021.
Truecaller said that it continues to grow rapidly in many different geographic markets and has since 31 March this year grown with 10.1 million users from 389.9 million, reaching the 400 million mark on May 29th.
Regarding the new milestone, Alan Mamedi, CEO and co-founder of Truecaller, said:
Reaching 400 million active users each month is something we are, of course, very proud of, but at the same time, we know that the need for a solution like Truecaller is significantly greater. The problem of unwanted communication, spam, and fraud over the phone is unfortunately only growing for both individuals and businesses. New technology and increased opportunities for fraudsters to make money are driving this development. We continue to develop our app and add new functionality to protect our users before, during, and after a phone call or SMS.
