HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II coming to T-Mobile USA on October 12

T-Mobile has announced 2 phones, HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II on their 4G (HSPA+ 42) network that would offer download speeds of 8 Mbps with peak speeds around 20 Mbps on T-Mobile’s 4G network. The HTC Amaze 4G has 4.3 S-LCD display, 8MP auto focus camera with a backside illuminated sensor for improved low light performance, zero shutter lag and a dual LED flash and 1080p HD video recording. It has 1.5 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 2.3.4.The Samsung Galaxy S II has 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen, 1.5 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread).

The HTC Amaze 4G has some of the advanced digital camera features, including SmartShot, PerfectPics, SweepShot, ClearShot HDR and BurstShot. The Samsung Galaxy S II has some of the TV and video contents such as Netflix, T-Mobile TV in Mobile HD, Samsung Media Hub and YouTube.

The HTC Amaze 4G costs $259.99 and the Samsung Galaxy S II costs $229.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement. These phones are expected to be available in an exclusive online pre-sale via T-Mobile.com beginning October 10 and are expected to be available at T-Mobile retail stores and select dealers nationwide starting October 12.
