Nothing recently confirmed the launch of CMF Phone 1 soon. Earlier rumours said that the phone will be a cheaper version of the Phone 2a and will use the same Dimensity 7200 SoC.
Now a new rumour says that it will use a Dimensity 7300 SoC which was introduced recently. This is not the successor to the Dimensity 7200, but a successor to the Dimensity 7050, so it should offer almost similar performance as the Snapdragon 778G+ used in the Nothing Phone (1).
The chip was spotted in the upcoming OPPO Reno12 Pro recently, revealing 1043 single-core and 2944 multi-core scores in Geekbench 6 benchmark. This is similar to the scores in the Nothing Phone (1).
Based on the teasers, visual artist Rahul Janardhanan has created a concept image of the phone with a replaceable plastic back cover and a Nothing Lock for exclusive add-ons.
Based on earlier rumours, the phone will pack a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display, dual-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor, 16MP front-facing camera.
The phone is said to pack 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and options for 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, with the possibility to expand memory via a microSD card and a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging, compared to the 45W charging support in the Phone (2a).
The CMF Phone 1 rumoured to start at USD 249 (Rs. 20,785 approx.) for the 128GB model and launch in July 2024.
