OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro with 6.7″ FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 7300-Energy, IP65 ratings announced for global markets


OPPO just introduced the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro smartphones for the global markets, as it had promised. The phones pack a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED screen, are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300- Energy OPPO’s co-designed platform and have 12GB of RAM with 12GB of additional virtual RAM.

These runs Android 14 with ColorOS 14.1 and feature AI Recording Summary, AI Clear Voice, AI Tool Box that includes AI Summary, AI Writer, and AI Speak.

These have a 3D fluid design with ripples and a smooth finish, and there is also a matte version for both the phones. The phones pack a 5000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.

The phones feature a 50MP main camera with Sony LYT-600 sensor, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and the Reno12 Pro has a 50MP 2x telephoto camera while the Reno12 comes with a 2MP macro camera.

There are AI Clear Face and AI Best Face, as well as improved AI Eraser that increases the target recognition rate to 98% and reduces the uncontrollable generation ratio from the industry average of 20%-30% to just 10%, according to the company.

The OPPO Reno12 comes in Astro Silver and Matte Brown colours and is priced at 499 Euros (USD 435 / Rs. 44,660 approx.) for the single 12GB + 256GB model.

The OPPO Reno12 comes in Nebula Silver and Space Brown colours and is priced at 599 Euros (USD 643 / Rs. 53,610 approx.) / 499 GBP (USD 633 / Rs. 52,800 approx.) for the single 12GB + 512GB model. These will roll out starting from Europe and the UK starting from this June, with gradually roll out in other markets.
