Google Pixel 9 Pro XL with Tensor G4, 16GB RAM surfaces in benchmarks


After the renders and wallpapers, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL have surfaced in Geekbench listings revealing details and performance of the Google Tensor G4 SoC. It also reveals 16GB of RAM for the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the highest on a Pixel phone, and the Pixel 8 will stick to 8GB of RAM.

This reveals 1+3+4 setup, compared to 1+4+4 setup in the Tensor G3. It has 1 x Cortex-X4 prime core clocked at 3.10GHz, 4x Cortex-A720 performance cores clocked at 2.6GHz and 4 x Cortex-A520 power efficient cores clocked at 1.95GHz. This reveals the same Mali G715 GPU but will be faster and powerful.

This reveals 1950 single-core score and 4655 multi-core score, which is only a minor increase compared to the Pixel 8 Pro with Tensor G3.

Benchmark scores for the Pixel 9 is much lower with 1590 single-core score and 3821 multi-core score.

Alleged Pixel 9 (Tokay), Pixel 9 Pro (Caiman) and Pixel 9 Pro XL (Komodo) AnTuTu benchmark scores surfaced from Russia recently, revealing 1.07 million, 1.14 million and 1.17 million points, respectively.
