After rumours and teasers, OnePlus has confirmed the launch of OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, the company’s next smartphone in the Ace series, on June 27th in China. The company has also posted an image of the Ceramic White colour variant of the phone.
The image shows a familiar camera deco, and it has triple rear cameras, and the flash is in the corner.
The Ace 3 Pro will be the first phone to use, 6100mAh glacier battery, designed in partnership with CATL for high-performance mobile phones.
OnePlus said that the battery brings “3 new self-developed technologies and 10 industry-leading technologies”, claiming to have high energy density, small size, stable power output, long battery life, fast charging and other characteristics, while also achieving 2 industry firsts.
6100mAh Glacier Battery
OnePlus Glacier Battery claims to be the industry leader in silicon-carbon anode battery capacity, reaching, 6100mAh. Compared to 5000mAh ordinary graphite batteries, OnePlus Glacier Battery has an additional capacity of 1100mAh and a 3% reduction in volume.
OnePlus Glacier Battery uses the exclusive self-developed “high-capacity bionic silicon-carbon material” and is equipped with “low-expansion second-generation silicon” in the self-developed silicon-carbon material.
It has the industry’s highest 6% negative electrode silicon-carbon content ; the silicon-carbon negative electrode has a gram capacity of 426mAh/g, which is 20% higher than the 355mAh/g of ordinary graphite battery negative electrodes; the energy density reaches 763Wh/L.
The positive voltage of the OnePlus Glacier battery can reach 4.53V, and it adopts a “new voltage stabilization architecture design”, which is said to allow the phone to provide consistent performance in various usage scenarios. In daily use scenarios, the instantaneous voltage drop of the OnePlus Glacier battery is less than 2%; in high-load gaming scenarios, the instantaneous voltage drop is controlled within 3%.
In addition, OnePlus Glacier Battery supports 100W flash charging. It is the industry’s only 6100mAh silicon-carbon negative electrode battery with 100W flash charging combination, and it can fully charge the 6100mAh capacity in just 36 minutes.
In terms of battery life, OnePlus’ Glacier Battery is said to have a battery health level greater than or equal to 80% after four years of us. It uses a new self-developed “bionic honeycomb structure design” and “silicon-carbon negative electrode life algorithm” as well as a number of battery life technologies.
OnePlus once again confirmed Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for the phone. The company has teased a new smartwatch, earbuds and a tablet at the event. It will reveal more details in the coming days, before it goes official next week.
