Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Redmi 13 5G, the company’s next budget 5G smartphone and the successor to last year’s Redmi 12 5G in India on July 9th. The launch invite has Nora Fatehi, who shows off the device.
The company says that the phone combines stunning looks with lightning-fast 5G performance, and it adds that it will redefine elegance and speed like never before.
The company has confirmed crystal glass design, and says that this is the first phone in the segment to feature dual-sided glass, and also mentions Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front. It will feature a 108MP rear camera, powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Accelerated edition.
The phone will pack a 5030mAh battery and 33W fast charging. It says that the phone will have the segment’s biggest display on a 5G smartphone, and the image shows a punch-hole screen with a small chin.
This looks similar to the Redmi Note 13R which was launched in China last month except for the camera, so we can expect a 6.79-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen, 8.32mm sleek design, and IP53 ratings for dust and splash resistance.
The Redmi 12 5G was launched in India starting at Rs. 11,999, so we can expect the Redmi 13 5G in the similar range. The phone will be sold on Amazon.in, in addition to mi.com and offline stores, after the launch.
