Meta has announced the launch of ‘Meta AI’ in India, available in English, following its debut in April earlier this year. This new AI, powered by Meta Llama 3, is now live on WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
It aims to assist users in various tasks like planning, learning, creating, and connecting with what matters to them.

Whether you’re planning a night out or organizing a weekend getaway, Meta AI in your WhatsApp group chat can suggest restaurants or scenic stops.
Studying for a test? Ask Meta AI online to generate a multiple-choice quiz. Moving into a new apartment? Use Meta AI to visualize your aesthetic, with AI-generated mood boards for furniture shopping inspiration.
Meta AI in Feed
While scrolling through your Facebook Feed, Meta AI can provide additional information about posts that interest you.
It also offers real-time search results from Microsoft and Google, enhancing your ability to get information quickly, such as the best time to see the northern lights based on a photo you come across.
Meta AI’s Imagine Feature
By using the word “imagine” in chats, you can create and share images with Meta AI. This feature, known as Imagine, allows for text-to-image generation, you can even animate images or modify them based on your group’s ideas.
Availability
Meta AI is currently rolling out across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook in India, starting today, available only in English with no other language options.
It can be accessed via the search bar within these apps and also through the meta.ai website, ensuring widespread availability for all users.
