motorola just introduced the razr 50 and razr 50 Ultra, the company’s latest foldable smartphones starting from China, after teasers. The razr 50 ultra retains the large 6.9-inch FHD+ internal foldable LTPO pOLED screen with 1-165Hz refresh rate.
This gets the largest 4-inch FHD+ outer pOLED screen with 1-165Hz LPTO screen, a major upgrade compared to 3.6-inch 144Hz screen, and has 95% screen-to-body ratio.
This also gets Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, an upgrade compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC in the predecessor. The phone packs a 50MP main + 50MP 2x telephoto camera, 32MP front camera and a 4000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, and 15W wireless fast charging.

The razr 50 has a large 6.9-inch FHD+ internal foldable pOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, has a 3.6-inch FHD+ outer pOLED 90Hz screen. This is the first phone to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC, compared to Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in the predecessor.
The phone packs a 4200mAh battery, and has 30W wired fast charging, and 15W wireless fast charging. The razr 50 series uses the fifth-generation star track hinge, which is smaller and lighter, integrated die-cast, with a larger R angle and smaller crease. The phones use a 6000 Series Aviation-grade Aluminum frame and come with IPX8 ratings for water resistance.

The motorola razr 50 comes in Moon Velvet Black, Elephant Gray and Passion Orange colours and is priced at 3699 yuan (USD 309 / Rs. 42,500 approx.) for the 8GB + 256GB model and the 12GB + 512GB model costs 3999 yuan (USD 550 / Rs. 45,945 approx.).
The motorola razr 50 Ultra comes in Vintage Denim, Modern Green and Soft Peach Limited Edition and is priced at 5699 yuan (USD 784 / Rs. 65,470 approx.) for the 12GB + 256GB model and the 12GB + 512GB model costs 6199 yuan (USD 853 / Rs. 71,220 approx.).
The phones are already on sale in China, and the global roll out details will be revealed later today at the global launch event. motorola India has also confirmed the launch of the phone in India soon.
