moto tag with Google Find My Device network and UWB technology announced

Motorola has launched the moto tag, a Bluetooth device designed to track valuable items globally. It works seamlessly with Google’s Find My Device network, allowing users to locate tagged items worldwide via the Find My Device app.

The tag offers enhanced precision with Ultra Wideband support on Android smartphones like the motorola edge 50 ultra, although UWB integration with the Find My Device app will come in a future update.

The moto tag includes a multifunctional button for ringing a paired smartphone and snapping photos remotely on Motorola devices. It prioritizes privacy with end-to-end encryption on Google’s secure Find My Device network, ensuring location data remains private.

The device also alerts users to unknown trackers and allows manual scans for added security. Setup is simple with Google Fast Pair, offering customization options via the moto tag app for features like naming, alert volumes, and battery monitoring.

Its IP67-rated design ensures durability against dust and water, making it suitable for various environments. The CR2032 battery lasts up to a year and is replaceable.
