Sonodyne has launched Antara, their first portable speaker, marking a milestone for the company founded by IITian Ashoke Mukherjee in 1970. With R&D and manufacturing facilities in Mumbai and Kolkata, Sonodyne is known for premium audio solutions.
The Antara maintains Sonodyne’s signature sonic quality in a compact design, delivering impressive SPL and low-frequency response. It features a robust battery providing 12 hours of playtime, with battery status viewable via Bluetooth pairing with your smartphone.
The Antara-1 utilizes special drivers and DSP technology for optimal acoustic performance. Equipped with two 2 ½” subwoofers, two dome tweeters, and two high-compliance passive radiators, Antara offers true stereo reproduction.
A 40 watt Class D amplifier drives its transducers, ensuring powerful sound output from a small enclosure. For connectivity, Antara supports Bluetooth 5.4, analogue line input via 3.5mm socket, and USB playback.
It includes an audio output for connection to a powered subwoofer and supports pairing in Duet mode for expanded sound.
