Reliance Jio hikes pre-paid and post-paid tariffs by up to 25%; Monthly plans now start from Rs. 189


Reliance Jio has revised its tariff plans for prepaid and postpaid users in India, after reports. The base plan with 28 days validity now start at Rs. 189, which is a 21.9% hike, and the other plans have seen a hike between 12 to 25%.

The Rs. 239 plan with 1.5GB/day data is now Rs. 299, which is a 25% hike.

New Jio Mobile tariff plans

The annual plan is now Rs. 3599, which is a 20% hike. The company has also hiked postpaid plans to match the pre-paid plans. Unlimited 5G data will be available on all 2GB/day and above plans, said the company.

Reliance Jio said that the hike is in line with its is commitment of providing the best-quality service at the most affordable prices globally.

The new plans will be made effective on July 3rd 2024 and can be opted from all existing touchpoints and channels.

Jio Platforms Limited has introduced two new applications:

  1. JioSafe – Quantum-secure communication app for calling, messaging, file transfer and more (priced at Rs 199 per month)
  2. JioTranslate – AI-powered multilingual communication app for translating voice call, voice message, text and image (priced at Rs 99 per month).

Jio users will get both these applications (worth Rs 298/month) free for a year.
