OPPO A3 with 6.7″ FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 695, up to 12GB RAM announced


OPPO just announced the OPPO A3, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone, in China as the successor to last year’s OPPO A2. It has a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1200 nits peak brightness, wet and oil finger touch, and features an 8-megapixel camera inside the punch-hole.

The phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 695 SoC, has up to 12GB of RAM, and runs Android 14 with Color OS 14. It has a 50-megapixel rear camera, features a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner, features an anti-fall, and wear-resistant design, and comes with IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Pricing and availability

The OPPO A3 comes in Tranquillity Black, Aurora Purple and Mountain Stream Green colours and is priced at 1599 yuan (USD 219 / Rs. 18,365 approx.) for the 8GB + 256GB model, 12GB + 256GB model costs 1799 yuan (USD 147 / Rs. 20,660 approx.) and the top-end 12GB + 512GB model costs 2099 yuan (USD 288 / Rs. 24,110 approx.).

The phone is now available to order and will go on sale in China starting from July 5th.
