Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, IPX8 ratings, 5000mAh battery surfaces


Details about the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4, the company’s next foldable phone in the MIX Fold series, have surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. The MIX Fold 4 is said to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, an upgrade from Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and also get IPX8 ratings for water resistance.

A mock-up shows quad rear cameras for the phone, but this might not be the final version. The pone is said to feature Leica Summilux lens for the first time, with a 50-megapixel OV50E 1/1.55″ main camera, 13MP OV13B 1/3.06″ ultra-wide-angle camera, 60MP OV60A 1/2.8″ 2x portrait camera and a 10MP S5K3K1 1/3.94″ 5x periscope telephoto lens camera. There will be a 16MP OV16F front camera.

It is said to retain the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and get a slightly bigger 5000mAh dual-cell battery compared to 4800mAh in the MIX Fold 3, and support wireless charging.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the phone will get two-way satellite communication, and will be just 9.xmm thick. We should know details about the displays soon.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 is expected to be introduced sometime mid-August, along with the Redmi K70 Ultra, like last year.
