OnePlus Open 14.0.0.810 update rolling out now, better gaming stability and bug fixes


OnePlus has just started rolling out a new update (V14.0.0.810) for the OnePlus Open. The update is 1.18GB in size and mainly packs a lot of bug fixes and stability improvements. Improvements include displaying music controls in Live Alerts, Home screen widget presentation, screen rotation when switching from cover screen to main screen. It also fixes a bug where system data might take up a lot of storage space.

On the security front, It includes the June 2024 Android security patch and improvments to calender permissions and clipboard.  Here is the complete change log below for your reference. The update is currently rolling out in India and expected to hit other regions soon.  Other OnePlus devices such as as the 11 and 12 series are also receiving the same update.

System

Music controls can now be displayed in Live Alerts.
Fixes an issue where system data takes up too much storage space.
Improves how Home screen widgets are displayed.
Integrates the June 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.
Fixes an issue where the volume slider in Quick Settings and the one triggered by pressing the physical volume button might appear at the same time.
Fixes an issue that might cause unexpected screen rotation when switching a video app from the cover screen to the main screen.

Security
The permissions for Calendar are now granted at a minimum level to provide the maximum security for your information.
Improves the Clipboard privacy info protection function, which automatically detects privacy information on the clipboard and prevents unauthorized access by apps without your consent to minimize the risk of privacy leaks.

Games
Improves gaming stability.
Fixes an issue where the screen might turn black while playing a game.

The update is gradually rolling out now in India, so it’s recommended to wait if your device has not received it yet. Users can also submit bugs by opening the Dialer and typing *#800#. You will find a menu that allows you to submit bugs.
