vivo just launched the vivo Y28e and Y28s budget 5G smartphones in India in the new Y28 series, after the launch of vivo Y58 5G. The phone packs a 6.56″ HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of up to 840 nits, are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoCs with up to 8GB of RAM.
The phones run FunTouch OS 14 based on the Android 14 platform, and pack a 5000mAh battery combined with a 15W flash charge. The Y28s has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which the Y28s lacks.
The main change in the phones are the cameras. The vivo Y28s has a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor, which the company says is the first in the segment. There is a secondary 2MP camera and an 8MP front camera. The vivo Y28e has a 13 MP main camera along with a 2MP secondary camera and a 5MP front camera.

The vivo Y28e dazzles comes in Vintage Red and Breeze Green colours and is priced at Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and Rs. 11,999 for 4GB+128GB variant.
The vivo Y28s comes with Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple colours and is priced at Rs. 13,999 4GB+128GB variant, Rs. 15,499 for 6GB+128GB variant and the top-end 8GB+128GB variant costs Rs. 16,999.
The phones will be available from Flipkart, vivo India e-store, and across all partner retail stores starting today.
