Xiaomi just launched the Redmi 13 5G, the company’s latest budget 5G smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.79-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen with a centre punch-hole, and is powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (Accelerated Edition) SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM.
The phone has a crystal glass design, and the company says that this is the first phone in the segment to feature dual-sided glass. It has a 108MP rear camera, along with Samsung ISOCELL HM6 1/1.67″ sensor and 9-in-1 pixel binning technology that promises clear images. It has a 2MP secondary camera and has a 13MP front camera. There is a ring flash on the back.
The phone runs Android 14 with Hyper OS, and the company has confirmed 2 years of security updates and 4 years of security updates. The phone has a 5030mAh battery with 33W fast charging with a charger in the box.

The Redmi 13 5G comes in Black Diamond, Hawaiian Blue and Moonstone Silver colours and is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 6GB + 128GB and the 8GB + 128GB version is priced at Rs. 15,499.
It will be available from Amazon.in, mi.com and Xiaomi Retail starting from July 12th.
