Microsoft has announced the availability of its latest Copilot+ PCs, the Surface Pro 11th Edition and Surface Laptop 7th Edition, in India, after their initial unveiling in May this year.
Surface Pro 11th Edition (2024)
The Surface Pro 11th Edition (2024) is a 2-in-1 device with Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors, and a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, making it 90% faster than the Surface Pro 9.
It supports up to three external 4K displays via two USB 4 ports. The 13-inch display includes an optional OLED with HDR, Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G, and Bluetooth v5.4. It has a quad-HD front camera with AI-powered effects and a 10MP rear camera with 4K video capability.
The device offers a choice of 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5x RAM for memory, and storage options include 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB removable Gen 4 SSD.
The device includes 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 39W power supply (supporting up to 65W), and is made from 72% recycled materials with replaceable components.
The Surface Pro Flex Keyboard allows for both attached and detached use, with a customizable haptic touchpad and integrated pen storage. The Surface Slim Pen features AI experiences, Zero Force inking, precise shading, 4,096 pressure sensitivity points, and a built-in haptic engine.

Surface Laptop 7th Edition (2024)
The Surface Laptop 7th Edition (2024) features a modern design with PixelSense touchscreen displays in 13.8-inch and 15-inch sizes, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, Dolby Vision IQ, and Adaptive Color Technology.
Powered by Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite processors with a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, it is 86% faster than the Laptop 5. It supports up to three external 4K monitors and provides up to 22 hours of battery life on the 15-inch model and up to 20 hours on the 13.8-inch model.
The device offers 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5x RAM for memory, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB removable Gen 4 SSD for storage. The 13.8-inch model uses a 39W adapter, while the 15-inch model uses a 65W adapter.
The device includes a Full HD Surface Studio Camera with AI-powered effects, AI-enhanced sound with Omnisonic Speakers and Dolby Atmos, improved typing with optimized key travel, and a large precision haptic touchpad.

Copilot+ PC features
Both devices feature Copilot+ PC capabilities, including the Copilot app with a dedicated key on Windows 11 keyboards, Cocreator in Paint for real-time image updates, Live Captions for translating live or prerecorded audio into English, and Recall for retrieving past content on your PC through snapshots taken every five seconds.
Security and Sustainability
The security features include Microsoft Pluton Security and Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in. Both devices use recycled materials, supporting Microsoft’s aim to be carbon negative by 2030 with a 78% reduction in carbon emissions.
