Samsung has announced the “Doraemon Special Edition” of the Galaxy Z Flip6 in Hong Kong, in collaboration with the “100% Doraemon & Friends” exhibition, the world’s largest Doraemon exhibition.
This special edition phone features a light blue color reminiscent of Doraemon. The package includes the smartphone, a Doraemon-themed Flipsuit case, and a magnetic phone stand.
The phone’s software comes with a Doraemon Galaxy Theme, which includes an opening animation, Doraemon Treasure Pocket home screen wallpaper, Doraemon dynamic lock screen, and app icons, bringing you into an imaginative world full of Doraemon, says the company.
The device’s internals are unchanged from the standard model. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED main screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3.4-inch outer cover AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate.
It includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, is IP48 dust and water-resistant, and has a camera setup with a 50MP main sensor (f/1.8, OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP selfie camera.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, it offers up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, a vapor chamber for heat dissipation, and a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charging. It runs on OneUI 6.1-based Android 14 with seven years of software support.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Doraemon Special Edition, limited to 800 sets and priced at HK$10,698 (USD 1370 or Rs. 1,14,470 approx.), is available for pre-order on the Samsung Hong Kong website with a free Doraemon Special Edition Tote Bag.
Note that the automatic download service of the Doraemon Galaxy Theme will be available until 14th July 2024.
