HP has announced the HP OmniBook Ultra AI PC and an AI platform for workstations designed to enhance large language model (LLM) development by detecting and correcting biases in models. These were unveiled at the HP Imagine AI 2024 event.
HP OmniBook Ultra AI PC
The HP OmniBook Ultra features a 14-inch, 2.2K (2240 x 1400) multitouch IPS display. It is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 processors with 55 TOPS of AI performance and integrated Radeon 800M graphics. This device is environmentally friendly, utilizing up to 90% recycled metals and 5% ocean-bound plastics.
Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Ultra has a 9MP camera enhanced by the Poly Camera Pro app and Windows Studio Effects, quad speakers with DTS Ultra, and weighs 3.48 pounds.
It has a 68-watt-hour battery, promising up to 13 hours on MobileMark and up to 21 hours on video playback. Additional features include Wi-Fi 7, a fingerprint scanner, a Copilot key, up to 32GB DDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
Security is a highlight, with HP Wolf Security offering industry-leading protection, allowing the PC’s core to self-heal from AI-assisted cyberattacks.
At launch, the OmniBook Ultra won’t have Copilot+ but will receive a free software update to include it when available. HP is also bundling its AI features, including the HP AI Companion.

OmniStudio X AIO
The HP OmniStudio X All-In-One Desktop PCs come in 27-inch and 31.5-inch models, featuring a 4K screen, 5MP camera, Poly Studio audio, and adaptive audio.
These models are built with 25% recycled metals and 35% post-consumer recycled plastics and have EPEAT Gold with Climate+ and ENERGY STAR certifications. The OmniStudio X 31.5 is the first AI All-in-One to receive IMAX Enhanced certification.
These AIOs are powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 processors and optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU (6 GB GDDR6). The design is adaptable, with a height-adjustable stand and USB Type-C with DP-in/out.
The USB-C connection supports video, audio, data, keyboard, and mouse control, and can be used as a laptop docking station. AI-powered wellness features include screen time and distance reminders, and presence sensing for additional privacy.
AI Software Ecosystem
HP is collaborating with software developers to enhance AI solutions for consumers and businesses.
- Future updates to the HP AI Companion will include Beautiful.ai and Polymer for productivity and Luminar Neo for creative editing.
- HP is also working with Omnibridge, Loccus.ai, and Virtual Sapiens to provide accessible AI experiences on HP AI PCs.
Z by HP AI Studio
HP is enhancing the Z by HP AI Studio to ensure faster and safer AI application deployment, with built-in generative AI trust for LLM development.
The integration of Galileo into Z by HP AI Studio allows users to detect and correct hallucinations, drift, and bias in their models, ensuring accurate and unbiased outputs.
