After confirming the launch date of August 13th for the Pixel 9 series, Google has officially posted the teaser videos for the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, showing off the camera design of the phones and highlighting the AI features.
Pixel 9 Pro
As expected, the Pixel 9 Pro has a small camera deco with triple rear cameras, flash and the laser autofocus. The phone is said to get triple 50MP rear cameras. Based on reports, the company will launch Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, both with similar camera setup, but a different screen size and the battery.
Pixel 9 Pro Fold
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold name for the company’s foldable phone has been confirmed. This also has a pill-shaped camera cut-outs. Earlier rumours revealed a thinner and narrower aspect ratio for the outer screen.
Even though the teaser doesn’t show the camera for the inner screen, the phone is said to use a punch-hole camera in the left part of the screen compared instead of the bezel in the first fold, since this has a smaller bezel.
The ‘Made by Google’ launch event on August 13, 2024 starts at 10 am PT (10:30PM IST), and Google has also confirmed the launch of Pixel 9 series phones in India with a date of August 14th. Google will livestream the event on YouTube and the Google Store website.
