Update: Google has posted the Pixel 9 series teaser confirming the launch of Pixel 9 series including the Pixel 9 Fold in India on August 14th.
Earlier: Google already confirmed the launch of Pixel 9 series phones in India on August 14th, after the launch event on August 13th.
Today, after the teaser for the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the company has confirmed that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will launch in India for the first time.
The teaser revealed a pill-shaped camera cut-outs. Earlier rumours revealed a thinner and narrower aspect ratio for the outer screen.
Even though the teaser doesn’t show the camera for the inner screen, the phone is said to use a punch-hole camera in the left part of the screen compared instead of the bezel in the first fold, since this has a smaller bezel.
The Pixel Fold was launched in the U.S. for USD 1799 (Rs. 1,50,450 approx.), so the Pixel 9 Pro Fold should cost more in the U.S. and India.
The ‘Made by Google’ launch event on August 13, 2024 starts at 10 am PT (10:30PM IST). Google will livestream the event on YouTube and the Google Store website.
