Xiaomi just announced the MIX Fold 4, the company’s latest flagship foldable phone, at an event in China, as it had promised.
The phone has an 7.98-inch 2K+ Samsung E7 LTPO panel with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and the outer display is a 6.56-inch FHD+ TCL C8+ panel also supports a 120Hz high refresh rate. Both offer up to 3000 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision and HDR10+. There is Xiaomi Shield Glass protection for the outer screen.
The inner display uses advanced Pol-less Plus technology, significantly reducing power consumption while enhancing brightness and color performance, ensuring the best visual experience possible in unfolded and folded states, said the company.
It uses new Xiaomi’s proprietary hinge that uses high-strength materials paired with a wear-resistant carbon ceramic steel transmission mechanism. The total hinge volume reduced by 34% compared to the predecessor, and the new design has an unfolded thickness of just 4.59mm and a folded thickness of 9.47mm.
For the first time, Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 fully adopts “all-carbon architecture”. The hinge floating plate, display backing plate, and middle plate battery compartment are all precision-molded from T800H carbon fiber material. This significantly enhances overall strength and durability and considerably reduces weight.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform and the 3D cooling system with large-area cooling system measures 11,912mm² that include advanced vapor chamber technology and multiple layers of graphite. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 also supports two-way satellite communication, and fully supports mainstream global communication bands and includes a “Travel Assistant” feature.
It has Leica optical quad-camera system that include a 50MP Light Fusion 800 high dynamic range sensor with “Dual Native ISO Fusion Max” technology that promises more accurate color reproduction and better detail retention in high-contrast scenes. There is a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens offers a 120° field of view, 50MP Leica floating telephoto lens for portrait and macro and the 10MP 115mm Leica periscope telephoto lens also supports close-up shooting. There is Leica Summilux lens.
The 5100mAh battery has new-generation silicon-carbon anode technology and supports 67W wired charging offers 100% charge in 52 minutes and 50W wireless charging can charge the phone in 65 minutes.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 comes in White, Black, Blue, and Xiaomi composite fiber editions.
It is priced at 8999 yuan (USD 1237 / Rs. 1,03,640 approx.) for the 12GB + 256GB model, 9999 yuan (USD 1375 / Rs. 1,15,155 approx.) for the 16GB+512GB version and the top-end 16GB+1TB version costs 10999 yuan (USD 1512 / Rs. 1,26,675 approx.). It is now available to order and will go on sale in China starting from July 23rd.
