Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro roll out paused amidst quality concerns

Samsung has temporarily halted shipments of the Galaxy Buds3 Pro due to quality control issues. Early users reported that the ear tips were delicate and broke easily when removed.

In a statement to Android Authority, Samsung confirmed that it had “temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds3 Pro devices to distribution channels” in order to assess quality before wider distribution.

The company apologized for any inconvenience caused and advised customers who had already received the earbuds to contact Samsung support or visit a service center.

This pause follows a similar apology from Samsung Korea, which emphasized that a thorough inspection would be carried out before the scheduled July 24 release. As per the report, Amazon has already removed the product listing in the U.S.

However, Samsung’s own website has updated the release date to August 28, while Best Buy’s website no longer allows pre-orders, only indicating that the product is “coming soon.”

For Indian customers, Samsung’s India website has pushed the release date to August 24 or later, depending on the locality. It is to be noted that, the Galaxy Buds3 (non-Pro version) are still available for delivery within 4-5 days.

On the Samsung Reddit forum, a user named u/ChrisTrotterCO reported that their order for July 24 pickup at Best Buy now lacks a delivery date. Some users commented that their deliveries were still expected soon, while others reported no issues with their already received orders.

Despite the inconvenience, Samsung’s decision to pause shipments is aimed at upholding customer trust and ensuring high standards. Most people would prefer a delayed release over receiving defective products.

Availability

According to Samsung’s updated website, shipping for the Galaxy Buds3 Pro is expected to start in late August, while the unaffected Galaxy Buds3 remain available.

As noted in a customer email shared by Android Authority, customers can cancel their orders if they don’t wish to wait.
