OPPO K12x 5G with military-grade durability launching in India on July 29

OPPO has confirmed the launch of K12x 5G, the company’s next smartphone and the successor to last year’s K11x, in the K series in India on July 29th. This is different from the OPPO K12x, which was launched in China, since that has similar specification as the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite.

The OPPO K12x 5G has MIL-STD-810H certification, and has been rigorously tested in the harshest of environments and conditions, be it extreme heat, moisture, and for shock resistance, said the company.

It also has IP54 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone will feature a 6.67-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate with up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, will feature segment-first Splash Touch technology that lets users operate its touchscreen with wet hands or even if the screen is wet. The phone will come with AI Linkboost technology, and Dual View Video.

The phone will come with 7.68mm slim and weigh just 186g. The matte finish around its frame promises a smooth and comfortable grip. The circular camera design at the back—with the prominent Cosmic Flashlight—adds to its premium look, it added.

The phone will pack a 5100mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charger in the box. The OPPO K12x will come in Breeze Blue and Midnight Violet. We should know more details before the phone goes official next week.
