Update: vivo has confirmed the launch of V40 and V40 Pro smartphones in India on August 7th.
Earlier: vivo has started teasing the launch of V40 and V40 Pro smartphones in India, both with ZEISS optics. The vivo V40 smartphone went official in Europe last month, so we know the complete specifications of the phone.
vivo has now confirmed that the V40 Pro will feature a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX921 sensor, compared to IMX920 in the V30 Pro. It will retain the 50MP ultra-wide sensor, 50MP 2x telephoto portrait camera with Sony IMX816 sensor and a 50MP front camera with 92° FOV.
The phone will come with IP68 ratings, Ultra Durable Build, and the company says that it will be the slimmest smartphone in the 5500mAh battery category offering 20% more energy density offering 1000 mAh more battery larger than the battery of the same size.
The vivo V40 Pro will come in Ganges Grey and Titanium Grey colours in India. The V40 will also come in Lotus Purple, in addition to these colours.
