HONOR has announced the rollout of the MagicOS 8.0 OTA software update for HONOR X9b users in India after beta testing.

This update introduces MagicOS 8.0, featuring the world’s first Intent-Based UI, aimed at delivering a superior AI-driven experience. The new version (8.0.0.162(C675E3R2P1)) is powered by HONOR’s MagicLM, an on-device AI large language model.
MagicOS 8.0 includes advanced AI features like Magic Capsule, Magic Portal, and Magic Ring, which enhance productivity and user experience. Additionally, the update includes the Android June 2024 security patches, improving system security.

Availability
The mass rollout has already begun and will reach all HONOR X9b users in India starting today. Users can check for the latest update by:
- Going to Settings > System & updates > Software update.
- Tapping on “Check for Updates”.
MagicOS 8.0 had previously been rolled out for HONOR 90 customers, and the HONOR 200 was launched with it. With this update, all HONOR smartphones in India now run on MagicOS 8.0.
