Google’s upcoming event will introduce the Pixel Watch 3, and recent leaks of promotional materials by Android Headlines have revealed its features and improvements.
Pixel Watch 3: Display and Battery life
Pixel Watch 3 will have Google’s Actua Display with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness on both models.
The 41mm model charges 20% faster, with both models offering around 24 hours of battery life with the always-on display or up to 36 hours in Battery Saver Mode; the 45mm model’s charging speed is not yet confirmed.

Included in the box are the watch, band, and a USB-C charger, similar to last year. Both models come with two band lengths for the Active Band, available in small and large sizes.
New Functionalities
The Pixel Watch 3 will allow users to view Nest Doorbells and Cameras on their wrists, providing convenient access to home security feeds.
Health and Fitness Metrics
It also introduces a new Morning Brief feature, summarizing key health and fitness metrics each morning, including sleep quality and readiness score.
The readiness score indicates how your body feels and helps manage training intensity. A new Cardio Load feature measures heart strain, contributing to the readiness score.
Fitness and Running Features
The Pixel Watch 3 is tailored for runners, offering custom run-building, saved workout access, and audio and haptic cues for pacing. It provides insights on cadence, stride, and vertical oscillation to improve running form.
Color Options and Bands
As per the report by Android Headlines, the Pixel Watch 3 will come in Matte Black Aluminum with an Obsidian band, Polished Silver Aluminum with a Porcelain band, and additional colors for each model: Champagne Gold Aluminum with a Hazel band for the 41mm, and Matte Hazel Aluminum with a Hazel band for the 45mm.

- Active Band: Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel, and Rose Quartz (41mm only)
- Active Sport Band: Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel, Coral, Moondust, and Wintergreen
- Woven Band: Ivy, Porcelain, Lemongrass, Peony, Bay (41mm only), and Sage (41mm only)
- Metal Links Band: Matte Black and Brushed Silver
- Crafted Leather Band: Obsidian and Moondust
- Performance Loop Band: Obsidian, Porcelain, Peony, and Wintergreen
Exclusive to the 41mm model:
- Stretch Band: Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay, Sage, Wintergreen, and Rose Quartz
- Metal Mesh Band: Matte Black, Champagne Gold, and Polished Silver
- Metal Slim Band: Matte Black, Champagne Gold, and Brushed Silver
- Two-Tone Leather Band: Charcoal, Porcelain, and Bay
All bands will launch with the watch, except the Performance Loop Band, delayed until late October.
Launch Date
The Google Pixel Watch 3 will be announced at the Made by Google event on August 13, alongside the Pixel 9 series and the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Potential announcements include a new Google TV streaming device and a Nest Thermostat.
