Bharti Airtel has announced support measures for communities impacted by the recent landslides in Wayanad, Kerala.
The area has been severely affected by continuous rains and strong winds, resulting in landslides that have destroyed homes, uprooted trees, and caused flooding, complicating rescue operations.
Airtel’s Support Measures
In response to the disaster, Bharti Airtel has announced several support measures for those affected by the landslide in Wayanad, which include:
Prepaid Customers
Bharti Airtel has introduced relief measures for prepaid customers affected by the disaster. Customers with expired validity who are unable to recharge will receive:
- 1 GB of free mobile data per day
- Unlimited calling
- 100 SMS per day
This offer is valid for 3 days.
Postpaid Customers
For postpaid customers, Airtel is extending the bill payment deadline by 30 days to ensure continuous mobile service access.
Relief Collection Points
Airtel is also supporting local relief efforts by converting all 52 of its retail stores in Kerala into collection points for relief materials. These materials will be collected and forwarded to the local administration for distribution to the affected communities in Wayanad.
