Samsung Electronics America has launched its first 1-terabyte (TB) high-capacity microSD cards: PRO Plus and EVO Select. These cards utilize eighth-generation Samsung V-NAND (V8) technology to deliver high performance and ample storage.
Samsung PRO Plus and EVO Select (1TB) microSD cards
The 1TB PRO Plus and EVO Select cards offer significant storage space, holding over 400,000 4K UHD images or more than 45 console games (20GB each). This expands storage options for smartphones, action cameras, drones, and handheld game consoles.
Performance
- PRO Plus: Provides transfer speeds of up to 180 megabytes per second (MB/s), ideal for UHD and FHD content. It supports UHS Speed Grade 3 (U3) and V30 video speed class for high-quality 4K UHD video recording. It also includes A2 Application Performance for efficient app installation and use.
- EVO Select: Offers transfer speeds of up to 160MB/s, with U3 Speed Grade, V30 video speed class, and A2 App Performance for smooth loading and multitasking.
Both cards feature a new 28-nanometer (nm) controller for improved stability and durability. They are resistant to water, high temperatures, X-rays, magnetic fields, drops, and wear-out.
They are compatible with a wide range of devices, including Android smartphones, tablets, and handheld gaming consoles. Additionally, they are available in multiple storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB sizes. The EVO Select also offers a 64GB option.
