motorola edge 50 with 6.67″ 1.5K pOLED curved display, military-grade durability, IP68 ratings launched in India for Rs. 27,999


motorola just launched the edge 50, the company’s latest smartphone in the edge series, as it had promised. It comes with MIL-810H standard, so it can withstand extremely high or low temperature, pressure, shock, vibration, pressure, dust and salt fog, according to motorola. The phone also comes with IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The phone has a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with up to 1600 nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition 4nm SoC, vapour chamber cooling system, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage. It will run Android 14, and motorola promises 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates.

The phone has a 50MP rear camera with Sony LYT-700C sensor, 13MP 120° ultra-wide camera with macro option and a 10MP telephoto camera for up to 30x digital zoom. It has a 32MP front camera.

The edge 50 packs a 5000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging and the phone also supports 15W wireless charging.

The motorola edge 50 comes in Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz with vegan leather finish, and the Koala Grey has a vegan suede finish.

It is priced at Rs. 27,999 for the single 8GB + 256GB model and will be available from motorola.in, Flipkart and offline stores starting from August 8th.
