Vistara became the first company to offer in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity onboard international flights operated by its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, starting September 2020. It was extended to Airbus A321 neo aircraft later.
Last year, it started offering complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi for its Club Vistara members. Starting from last week, the company has started offered 20 minutes of complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi for all the international customers travelling in Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A321neo aircraft, a first in Indian aviation.
The in-flight Wi-Fi service provided by Tata’s Nelco Network Products Limited (NNPL) and powered by Panasonic Avionics Corporation offers usage on any platform, unlike the introductory offer which was limited to messaging apps.
You can extend your Wi-Fi experience by purchasing any of the available plans using Indian credit/debit cards, in addition to internationally issued credit cards.
To complete your purchase using an Indian credit/debit card, you must buy the plan within the 20 minutes of your active session to receive the transaction One -Time Password (OTP) on the email address associated with your credit/debit card.
There are several in-flight Wi-Fi plans. The first plan for Club Vistara members that costs INR 372.74 / USD 4.95 offers complimentary unlimited data for messaging apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage and similar services).
Others plans include Surf plan at INR 1577.54 / USD 20.95 for embedded audio and video streaming such as content on social media and website with unlimited data. The Stream plan offers unlimited data streaming on all sites at INR 2707.04 / USD 35.95.
Commenting on the new offering, Deepak Rajawat, Vistara’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:

We believe this will greatly enrich the travel experience, making it more convenient, productive, and seamless.
