After teasers, iQOO today confirmed the launch of its Z9s series in India on August 21st. This was shared by the iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya. The teaser also says that the phone will be the fastest in the segment with a curved screen.
At the end, in tiny text, it says that this is based on AnTuTu score of 8.2 lakhs under Rs. 25,000 price as of launch. This could be with the launch offers. Based on reports, this should be the iQOO Z9s Pro, which is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
This is much cheaper compared to the motorola edge 50 Pro that uses the same chip, and is priced over Rs. 30,000.
The rear design that was posted by the company last month revealed iQOO 12-like design. Based on rumours, the Z9s and Z9s Pro models will pack a 6.78″ 120Hz curved AMOLED screen, pack a 50MP rear camera with a Sony sensor, 16MP front camera and a 5,500 mAh battery.
The Z9s is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which is a downgrade compared to Dimensity 7200 SoC in the Z9, so it could be cheaper than the Rs. 19,999 starting price for the Z9. The phones are expected to come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage versions.
We should know more details in the coming weeks officially, before the iQOO Z9s series go official later this month.
