HUAWEI has launched the MatePad Pro 12.2 (2024) and MatePad Air (2024) in China today, following the launch of the HUAWEI nova Flip.
HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 (2024)
The MatePad Pro 12.2 features a sleek gold design with a silk-like feel and easy-to-clean, skin-friendly micro-velvet material. It has a circular rear camera frame, measures 128.53 x 271.25 x 5.5 mm, and weighs 508 grams.
This tablet boasts a 12.2-inch dual-layer 144Hz OLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels, a 92% screen-to-body ratio, a 2000000:1 contrast ratio, and 2000 nits peak brightness.
It supports 1.07 billion colors, a P3 wide color gamut, and ΔE < 1 color accuracy, reducing 99% of interference light.
The display includes PaperMatte technology and supports the 3rd-gen M-Pencil stylus with ultra-low latency. For drawing, it features the Fangtian Painting Engine 2.0, supporting an 8K canvas and 500+ layers, maintaining smooth strokes at 120 fps.
The MatePad Pro 12.2’s rear camera setup includes a 13MP main lens and an 8MP wide-angle lens, with an 8MP front lens for selfies and video calls.
It has a 5050mAh dual-cell battery (equivalent to 10100mAh) with 100W Turbo charging, reaching 85% in 40 minutes and a full charge in 55 minutes, and offers 380 days of standby time, according to HUAWEI.
Additional features include a side fingerprint sensor, NearLink, Beidou Satellite SMS, the Born to Draw app, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and various sensors. The tablet also has 4 microphones, 4 speakers, and HUAWEI Sound support.
Running on HarmonyOS 4.2, it includes new AI features in the Celia app, such as the Celia Document Assistant, AI Writing Tool, Celia Info Assistant, and AI Tools for Notes. Accessories include the Huawei Xingyue Keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd generation).
