Google TV Streamer 4K with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos announced

Google just launched the Google TV Streamer 4K, following rumors, ahead of the Made by Google event later this month. This new device replaces the Chromecast with a faster, more “premium” version.

The sleek Google TV Streamer doubles as a smart home hub for Google Home and Matter devices. Unlike previous models, it is designed to sit in front of your TV to improve connectivity with smart home devices.

Running on Android TV OS, the Google TV Streamer provides access to over 700,000 movies and shows from apps like YouTube TV, Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV, along with 800+ free live TV channels.

Google AI curates personalized content suggestions across all subscriptions, while Gemini technology offers detailed summaries, reviews, and season breakdowns. You can also create watchlists for each family member.

The device features a 22% faster processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, ensuring smooth navigation and quick app switching. It supports 4K HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for a cinematic experience.

Connectivity options for the Google TV Streamer include Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, and an Ethernet port, and it is made with at least 65% recycled plastic for sustainability.
