vivo V40 and V40 Pro with 6.78″ 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 / Dimensity 9200+, IP68 ratings launched in India


vivo just launched the V40 and V40 Pro smartphones in the V40 series in India, as it had announced. The phones pack a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz 60° curved AMOLED display with up to 4500 nits peak brightness and a 50MP autofocus front camera.

The V40 has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, 50MP rear camera with OIS along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and this time this also gets the ZEISS optics. The V40 series run Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 on top, and will get 3 Android updates and security updates for 4 years.

The V40 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, a major upgrade compared to Dimensity 8200.  This has a 50MP rear camera with Sony IMX921 sensor, OIS, 50MP UW and 50MP 2x telephoto portrait camera. There is ZEISS optics with ZEISS-stlye portrait, and Aura light.

The vivo V40 comes in Titanium Grey, Lotus Purple and Ganges Blue colours with a glass back. The V40 Pro comes only in Titanium Grey and Ganges Blue colours. The phones pack a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging and have IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The vivo V40 is priced at Rs. 34,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 36,999 and the top-end 12GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs. 41,999.

The vivo V40 Pro is priced at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and the 12GB + 512GB model costs Rs. 55,999.

Pre-booking starts today, August 7th on vivo.com, Flipkart and offline stores, and the phones will go on sale from August 19th and August 13th, respectively.
