AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X price, roll out details revealed

AMD has finally revealed the pricing for its latest Ryzen 9000 series CPUs, following the announcement in June.

Ryzen 9000 Series Features

The Ryzen 9000 series CPUs are built on AMD’s new Zen 5 architecture, featuring an improved thermal lid design and lower TDPs for easier cooling. They use the AM5 platform, support PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory, and offer an average of 16% better IPC performance over Zen 4.

The Ryzen 9 9950X is the fastest consumer desktop CPU, and the 12-core, 24-thread Ryzen 9 9900X closely matches Intel’s 24-core, 32-thread i9-14900K, as compared by AMD during the launch.

Pricing and Availability

The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X will be available on August 8, 2024. The Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X will follow on August 15, 2024.

  • Ryzen 7 9700X: starting at USD 359 (Rs. 30,140 approx.)
  • Ryzen 5 9600X: starting at USD 279 (Rs. 23,425 approx.)
  • Ryzen 9 9950X: starting at USD 649 (Rs. 54,490 approx.)
  • Ryzen 9 9900X: starting at USD 499 (Rs. 41,895 approx.)

By looking at the Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X prices, they are slightly higher than expected but still lower than the initial launch prices of the Ryzen 7000 series. These new CPUs, while more expensive than the current Zen 4 chips, promise better performance and features.

They will be available for purchase from major online and offline retailers on their respective dates.
