Samsung Galaxy A16 5G global version surfaces in benchmarks

The global version of Samsung Galaxy A16 5G, successor to last year’s Samsung Galaxy A15 5G, has surfaced in Geekbench 6 listing with the model number SM-A166E.

This comes after the phone US model headed to Sprint with the model number SM-A166P surfaced recently. This reveals Dimensity 6300 SoC for the phone compared to Dimensity 6100+ chip in the predecessor.

It also reveals Android 14 and 4GB of RAM, but we can also expect 6GB and 8GB version, since the US version of the phone has both these models.

Based on earlier rumours, the phone is expected to pack a 50-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel macro camera and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It is expected to retain the 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is expected to be introduced sometime in Q4 2024.
