HMD Hyper detailed specs surface ahead of launch


HMD is preparing to release its upcoming smartphone, the HMD Hyper, as indicated by tipster HMD_MEME’S (@smashx_60) on X (formerly Twitter), who has now shared detailed specifications of the device.

The HMD Hyper is expected to feature a design similar to the HMD Skyline, maintaining a Lumia-like aesthetic. Leaked images reveal the device in Yellow, featuring a punch-hole front, a rear rectangular camera module with three sensors, and buttons on the right side.

The smartphone will have an FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of FHD+ and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and include a 4700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

In terms of memory, the HMD Hyper will offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card.

The triple rear camera system features a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP third sensor, while the front camera is also 50MP. The rear cameras can record 4K video at 30 fps.

Though specific connectivity options were not detailed by the tipster, the HMD Hyper may include features similar to the Skyline, such as 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and a USB-C port for charging. It will run on Android 14.

Launch date?

There is no confirmed launch date yet, but an official announcement from HMD is anticipated soon.
