POCO Pad 5G with 12.1″ 120Hz display launching in India on August 23

After teasers, POCO has confirmed the launch of POCO Pad 5G, the company’s first tablet in India, on August 23rd at 12PM. This was confirmed by Himanshu, Country Head of POCO India, whoch says that the tablet w ill be ultimate companion.

Himanshu said that the tablet will be a perfect device for “binging, creating, and getting stuff done.”  The image shows support for stylus and a keyboard.

The POCO Pad was introduced for the global markets back in May, and packs a 12.1-inch 2.5K+120Hz LCD screen, is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with up to 8GB RAM, has quad speakers and packs a 10000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

This is similar to the Redmi Pad Pro which was launched in India a couple of weeks back, but we can expect the POCO Pad to be cheaper than the Redmi Pad Pro. We will have to wait to find out if the company is planning to launch both the Wi-Fi and 5G version, since the image only shows POCO Pad 5G.
