Apple Podcasts finally arrives on the web

Apple introduced the redesigned Podcasts app with Channels, Subscriptions and more new features back in 2021. Today, it has introduced Podcasts on the web.

This comes after the company launched Apple Maps on the web last month. Apple Music and Apple TV are already available on the web.

You can now use Apple Podcasts from the browser such as Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on Macs, PCs, Linux or any other system. It is not required to sign in, but when you sign in you can access subscriptions or saved shows, and continue from where you have listening.

There is also Up Next queue, saved episodes, Channels, top charts, new and noteworthy podcasts, access to paid content and more.  There are forward and rewind options for the player, but I couldn’t find the speed adjustment, and it also lacks episode chapters for the podcasts that have it.

Availability

Apple Podcasts on the web is available from https://podcasts.apple.com. iPhone and iPad users will be automatically redirected to the native Podcasts app.
